What are the best tools to learn about the stock market for a 16 year old?
Filed Under Stock Market | Comments Off
Well I been into the stock market since 5th grade and watch CSBN almost everyday, and read about the business world a lot but I still don’t get the stock market. For example, how are do they get those figures on the graphs? I know it’s a representation for the company but not the company itself so how are these numbers made? Is it somebody’s job to make the graphs of a company go up and down or what?
I don’t want to follow somebody! I want to know why they make thoses investments and actually understand what’s going on, not follow pepole around in the dark!

We already have some money in investments but I want to try the stock market. Should I use a broker or do penny stocks or something else? I don’t know much about it.
We have retirement accounts. We are older and have children entering college in 4 years. They have about enough to get them through 2 years. They used to have 3 times that before the ecomony went south. We have one who wants to go to medical school. What are our options?

What will the effect of the boomer retirement have on the stock market?
Filed Under Stock Market | 5 Comments
Right now, boomers are preparing for retirement. Most are earning in their peak years or near their peak income levels. They are pumping more money than ever into the market to pay for their retirements.
The ratio of people pulling money out of the market to fund their retirements in comparison with the people putting money into the market to save for their future retirements is better than it will be for at least the next three generations, most likely more.
In the next five to fifteen years, the ratio of people paying into the market to save for their retirements in comparison to the people taking out of the market to pay for their retirements is going to change drastically. The draw on the market will increases drastically over the savings rate to finance retirement. This will be a historical first for the stock market.

I’m pretty much a beginner in this, but I’ve always been interested in the stock market. Is it possible to start out with say $100 and just experiment and learn how everything works? How can I do this? What are some good sites where you can purchase shares? Any info would be great.

Is bankrupting the stock market part of Hussein Obama’s plan to turn America into a socialist state?

The stock market has gone down 20% since he was elected, 10% since he was inaugurated. Is this part of his plan to make us all slaves to the state with no savings?

I want to learn about the stock market, and practice investing in the stock market.
I’ve seen a lot of “Stock Market Game” websites on the internet; which is the best? (Preferably free!)

What happened in the stock market today?

Today, January 22, 2008 all the news channels were focusing on the stock market a huge risk of recession. They also said that the federal government reduced interest rates. I only saw bits and pieces of the news report. What exactly happened? What was the scare? What did the government do?
